His Excellency President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is set to undertake a State Visit to India.

President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu will undertake a state visit to India from October 6th to 10th, 2024, following an invitation from President Droupadi Murmu. The visit will include high-level discussions with Indian leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, focusing on enhancing bilateral cooperation and the longstanding partnership between both nations.

Dr. Muizzu and Prime Minister Modi previously met during the COP28 summit in Dubai on December 1st, 2023, and Dr. Muizzu also attended Modi’s swearing-in ceremony at Rashtrapati Bhavan in June 2024.

A high-level delegation from the Maldives will accompany the President, with full hospitality extended by the Government of India. Dr. Muizzu is dedicated to strengthening international relationships that support the Maldives’ growth and development.
